This piece isn’t about overcoming. It’s about taking up space. There’s something powerful about allowing ourselves to be vivid in a world that can sometimes try to mute us. To exist boldly without explaining why. The bright strokes here don’t ask for permission, they simply are. Layered, imperfect, textured, alive. The neutral background doesn’t diminish the color, it amplifies it. Sometimes strength isn’t pushing through, in fact sometimes it’s standing still and refusing to fade. To me this painting feels like that moment when we stop negotiating our brightness and let it be seen. No shrinking,
no softening to fit.
Just presence.
